Barrington Natural Heritage and Agricultural Fair

No plans this weekend come visit the Barrington Natural Heritage and Agricultural Fair! Bring the kids to play games, pet animals and learn about bee keeping. There will also be a farmers market so you can meet some local farmers and pick up a few things for dinner while there.
The 2nd [Annual?] Barrington Natural Heritage and Agriculture Fair will be held on August 28 and 29 from 10 am to 4 pm (rain or shine!) at Warren Farm, a full-time working farm in Barrington, NH.
Sugarmomma's Maple Farm of Northwood will be attending this event with all of her maple goodies. Be sure to stop by and say hello!
Doctor John Carroll will be speaking on sustainability at noon time on Saturday. Dr. Carroll is one of our local published UNH professors.

Northwood Farmers Market Updates - for 08/20/2009

We are very pleased that the Miles Smith Farm will be joining us at the Northwood market, this week. They have an excellent reputation for beef that are raised in a natural and kind environment, free of chemicals and hormones.

They are in great demand and may not be able to be at every week's market - so take advantage while you can :) Here is a link to their website, if you'd like to check them out: http://www.milessmithfarm.com/

We are happy for Linsay and Ryan - who both start teaching jobs next week ... but sad that this means that this week is the last week that "My Street Bakery" (pies, cookies, and whoopie pies) will be joining us this season .…they plan to be back next year. They also have a website, if you're interested: http://www.metrocast.net/~mystreetbakery/ Congratulations to both of them.
